NEWS LETTER
In the news letter I’d like to
include some natural remedies and ideas for you to try. If you have anything you’d like to share, to be included in a future news letter, please let me know.
Lavender Essential oil
is renowned for it’s calming
qualities. I always leave potting the lavender products until the last job of the day, as I’ve learned from experience that once the top is removed from the lavender oil, I slow down and become relaxed.
Not good when an order is needed in a hurry!
When my children were younger, they both had a pot of lavender moisturiser
and before bedtime would put a little on their hands and faces. They never had any problems sleeping. A couple
of drops of lavender essential oil on a tissue next to your bed can help to relax the mind and help you fall asleep.
A bottle of lavender essential oil should be kept in the kitchen as it can be applied straight from the bottle onto
a burn to prevent blistering.
A few drops of Lemon Essential oil
in a smelly shoe works wonders in reducing odour.
Also a few drops of lemon essential oil on a tissue and placed in the vacuum bag can freshen up the house naturally.
When you can feel a cold sore about to rear it’s ugly head, apply a drop of geranium essential oil
on a tissue to the area and if you are lucky it will not materialize.
It’s the time of the year that hay fever sufferers dread! It is said that if you
consume honey from a local source, it will ease your symptoms as the local bees have collected local pollen.
Garlic
is very good for you. It’s a traditional remedy for coughs, colds and respiratory catarrh. Taken regularly it can strengthen the immune system and lower both raised blood pressure and blood cholesterol. It can also prevent bites from midges as they obviously don’t like the taste of you when you’ve consumed garlic. Unfortunately eating garlic leaves you with “garlic breath.” To prevent this, chew a sprig of
parsley to freshen your breath.
Before reaching for the headache tablets try this one. Stir half a teaspoonful of ground ginger
in half a cup of cold water. Drink this, and hopefully your headache will have gone within half an hour.
Bye for now,
